Venue: University ‘Eqrem Çabej’, Gjirokaster

The fifth public meeting was held at the University ‘Eqrem Çabej’ in Gjirokaster, a round table discussing current issues related to human rights and minorities in Albania. In his greeting speech the vice rector of the University ‘Eqrem Çabej’, Prof. Dr. Niko Rogo praised the work carried out by civil society organizations with respect to minority rights and showed commitment for further activities related to such issues. Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Mrs. Dewi van de Weerd, was engaged in a lively conversation with the students about the respect of minority rights at community.

Dr. Arben Gaba, lecturer at the University ‘Eqrem Çabej’ and Mr. Gramoz Braho, representatives of Municipality council discussed the current situation of minority rights in the region of Gjirokastra and they suggested ways and means of improving minority conditions.
