IBE331 – European Integration of South-East Europe (undergraduate level)

The course focuses on the process of European integration of the Western Balkans. The lectures expose the European Union strategies and policies as applied into the Western Balkans following a chronological-related analysis of the past, present and future approach of EU towards the WB region, putting the emphasis on the EU Enlargement approach. The course provides an analytical and theoretical review on EU Enlargement and it makes use of a selected number of literatures on the application of these concepts on the Western Balkans. The seminars will be open debates among the lecturer, students and the invited practitioners or civil society experts dealing with European Integration issues, on different aspects of the current process of the regions’ integration into EU.
